I’m the one on the right.  The pretty one to my left is my wife, Tiffany.  The pretty landscape to her left is Canyonlands National Park.

Roughly 12.23 years ago, I started playing Dungeons and Dragons with a group of friends.  We were playing in our basement (of course), but, we had a large group, and a small table.  I found plans online for a gaming table that comfortably sat 8 people, and thought I’d give it a shot.  I borrowed a circular saw from my grandpa, got some materials, and went to work.  It wasn’t perfect, but it didn’t collapse, the drawers worked, and we all sat comfortably while we slayed mystical creatures.  Unfortunately, I don’t recall where I got those plans, and I have no photos of that table.  But that plywood and MDF monstrosity is what got me started in woodworking.

I created a few projects here and there over the next few years.  When we relocated to Arizona from Minnesota, we moved into an apartment, which prevented me from really doing any woodwork.  But, that’s when I got my 3D Printer, so I had a way to start making things out of precisely placed layers of plastic.  And now, I’ve got space for traditional woodworking tools again, so I’m trying to make just about whatever I’m able.  Also, I bake occasionally!

In 2018, after seeing me spend (probably far too much) time watching other makers on YouTube, my wife suggested I try to do my own videos.  So I’m doing that and this blog to try and show others how I do things.  And, since I’m by no means an expert at any of this, I also want to show that it’s possible for anyone to do these things.

HOWEVER.  If you try any of the things I do, please be aware that these tools, when not properly used, are dangerous.  Ultimately, you’re responsible for your own safety.  Be sure to read all instructions and safety information for your tools.  Wearing the proper safety equipment is also important, and if you’re ever about to perform a step that does not feel safe, STOP, and think of a better, safer, way to do it.

Also I have some weird friends…
